There are 2 sections the first is the Lottery which participants have the opportunity to buy into.

The second part is the Fund, this is the accumulated surplus from the lottery.

All monies in the Animal Lottery Fund are retained and distributed in the UK.

The jackpot or 'pot' is the total amount subscribed by those taking part, (less a small amount (10%) retained to run the site)

The pot is then divided equally between the Lottery winner/s (50%) and the Fund (50%)

The duration of the Lottery may vary depending on demand, it can be daily, several days or a week.

A percentage of the 'pot' is the amount to be won, this may be divided by a percentage of players.

Example.

On this example we have chosen to run a Lottery for three consecutive days with 90% of the 'pot' available, if 1000 people put into the 'pot' @ £1.00 per ticket we will have  a 'pot' of £900.00 available to the winners. If this Lottery allows 5% of those taking part to be eligible to win they are chosen randomly by the random numbers generator built into the software each receiving £90.00.
